How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Romans 10:14–15

Ministry Update December 17, 2018 - February 24, 2019

Caja De agua

TJ, Pam and Mya Lindsey

For the past few months we have been unable to find someone willing and able to provide us with the quantity of food and groceries that we need for all of these families. By God’s grace and the hard work of Pam Lindsey we were able to find a business that not only is willing and able but is very excited to provide the groceries we need. They are offering us a better price than we had from our previous supplier and much better service. Your $25 a month is now going further than ever.

Sponsorship Program

In February we had the great joy to deliver $25 worth of food and other groceries to 151 children and their families. The majority of these families and single mothers with multiple children to care and provide for. The eggs, rice, pasta, beans, oatmeal, yogurt, milk, laundry detergent, etc. helps these single mothers provide the basic needs for their children. Each package of food is received with great joy and much gratitude.

The Heat

It has been really hot in Caja de Agua in January and February. With no air conditioning it is difficult to escape the heat and with no shelter for those waiting for their children and siblings it is hard to deal with. By God’s grace we were able to purchase this umbrella to help shade those who wait outside for their family members.

Making Videos For The Sponsors

Every person that sponsors a child receives a video from the child they sponsor each month.

The Lindsey's

It has been an interesting few months for us as a family. For half of January and half of February we did not have running water in our house. Due to a sewer leak, the district where we live, shut off all running water and only turned it on for a few hours every few days. We were able to gather water in buckets to take “showers” and to flush the toilet. By God’s grace we have running water restored back to normal. During the last few months we have also lost about $500 in monthly support for our family and the ministry. God has always provided for us and we continue to trust him. Because of that we ask for your prayers for provision at this time.

Ministering To The Children

We continue with our dedication to proclaim the gospel and teach God’s word (The Bible) to the community of Caja De Agua in Lima, Peru. During the summer months, January and February, we have classes with the children on a limited basis to allow them to spend more time with their families while they are on break from school. We have classes for two weeks and then give them a two week break. We repeat this throughout the summer. We will return to our normal schedule on February 25th. Last year before and during simmer we saw a lot of children leave the ministry. The opposite has occurred this year. A few children have had to leave for different reasons but we have seen an a huge increase in the amount of children that are signing up and starting to attend the ministry. We are always so excited to be able to share the gospel with more children and their families. With the increase in children the needs increase as well. We are in need of supplies such as Bibles, uniforms, pens, paper, etc. If you are interested in helping us purchase the materials we need please visit www.hofcm.org.
